My Christmas Traditions
I do many different types of traditions when the holidays come around. From being all with the family orjust by myself. The first tradition that my family does is going to the lights before Christmas at the zoo with the family. Then when i gets closer to Christmas I do all the wrapping of presents except my own. Then on Christmas Eve we go to the Christmas mass along with my Grandomother and Uncle coming over. At around 6 P.M. we go to our great aunt's house for the the Christmas Eve party she holds every year for the entire family, which can get a bit hectic considering how many people there are, but still fun. On Christmas Day we wake up and open presents just like any other traditional family. Then after eating breakfast we go over to my other grandmother's house for the rest of the day.We have also started a new tradition just last year of helping a family that can't afford Christmas. Last , but not least you can never forget the tradition of Grandma's cookies!
The things I look forward to the most around Christmas is seeing all the family together. Our family is very spread out even though the majority of us live in the Michigan/Ohio area. I love the shopping rush with my mom when we go the mall. I love seeing the smiles on everyones face. Also, you can't forget presents, it's not Christmas without them, even though giving is just as fun. I celebrate the majority of Christmas with my family; In the afternoon with my mom's side and my dad's side at night. Although my mom's side usually comes to the large Christmas party with us. There are tons of people at the Christmas Eve party including over 20 of my cousins and I'm one of the few oldest out of them. Overall what makes Christmas, Christmas is having the family together.
